What is India's climate like?
The Indian climate is primarily defined by rainy and dry seasons. However, certain areas of India, such as Ladhak and Thar Desert, do not experience wet seasons. The average rainfall in each area of India varies. While Meghalaya has one of the greatest rainfalls, Jaisalmer has the lowest. The Ganga plains and coastal regions receive rain in July and August. The Coromandel region is dry during these months. During June and July, Goa, Patna, and Hyderabad, as well as locations in the Northwest, experience rainfall.
Temperatures in India vary greatly during the day and throughout the year. The Thar have the greatest diurnal temperatures, whereas the Himalayas have the highest yearly temperatures. Coastal locations get lower annual and diurnal temperatures. The Indian subcontinent has scorching summers and somewhat chilly winters. The Himalayas have severely frigid winters and somewhat hot summers.
