1. Types of Indian e-Visa for Guyanese citizens

The most commonly used Indian e-Visa types for Guyanese passport holders include:

• The India Tourist e-Visa allows double entry and permits a stay of up to 30 days. • The India Business e-Visa allows multiple entries, with each stay lasting up to 180 days.
• Indian medical visa: For those seeking medical treatment at Indian hospitals and their accompanying family members, there are other types of visas, including the Indian Medical e-Visa and Medical Attendant e-Visa. These visas are triple-entry and allow a stay of up to 60 days from the date of arrival.
• Indian e-Conference Visa allows Guyanese travelers to attend government-approved conferences in India for up to 30 days with a single entry.
• Indian Ayush visa: The Ministry of Home Affairs has introduced a new category for Ayush (AY) visas for foreign nationals seeking treatment under the Ayush system of Indian traditional medicine.  This would be a special visa scheme for foreigners that includes therapeutic care, wellness, and yoga.  Ayush visa  is a triple-entry visa and valid for 60 days from the issue date

2. Indian e-Visa Requirements for Guyanese citizens

Guyanese nationals are required to meet the following conditions to obtain an India e visa and comply with the Indian e-Visa entry requirements:

• A valid Guyanese passport with at least six months of validity from the date of arrival in India is required.
• A valid debit or credit card is required to pay the processing fees.
• A scanned copy of the passport’s biographical page
• A photograph of the applicant that was taken recently (should be taken within the last 06 months).
• An active email address (where Guyanese will receive their India e-visa)

Each type of Indian visa online will require different types of documentation to complete a visa application form. Depending on the type of Indian visa that the applicant is seeking, the documents required will be different.

• An invitation letter from the host, as well as the host's ID card/passport (for a Business visa).
• A medical letter from a hospital in India, if you apply for a medical e-Visa
• An invitation letter from the conference organizer and political clearance from the Government of India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) (For e-conference visa).

Vaccinations are required for Guyanese citizens before entering India

Travelers to India, including Guyanese citizens, need all the vaccines to stay there, even though some of these diseases are essentially wiped out in other parts of the world.

3. Indian e-Visa fee for Guyanese citizens

Applicants for Indian e-Visas are required to pay two types of India visa fees: the government fee and the service fee.

Because Guyana is not on the Indian government's list of e-Visa exemptions, a government fee is required.

Your service fee will be lower the more applications you submit. Service fees vary depending on the processing speed selected.

• Normal: It is the most cost-effective method to apply for an Indian e-Visa if you have plenty of time to gather your documentation and wait for a response. This service has a 05-day wait time.
• Urgent: The result of the visa will be sent to Guyanese citizens within 48 hours.
