Indian e-Visa requirements for Ukrainian citizens in 2025

Citizens from over 150 countries, including Ukraine, have been able to travel to India by using e-visa instead of casual ones. In general, this new visa type has a simpler application process and requires less documentation as well as effort.

Indian e-visa for Ukrainian citizens

1. Indian e-Visa for Ukrainian citizens:

The India e-Visa is an electronic visa issued by the Indian government in 2014 to expedite the visa application process and allow all qualified tourists to enter the country for tourism, business, and medical treatment.

The tourist visa is a single-entry permission valid for 120 days with a 30-day stay. The remaining two, business and medical visas, are multiple-entry authorizations that allow holders to visit India multiple times and stay for 60 to 180 days, with a validity term ranging from 4 months to a year (depending on the kind chosen).

Many years from the date of its official release, the Indian government has launched total 6 types of e-visa, and in this article, we will show you information on 4 main types of Indian e-visa for Ukrainian citizens:

  • e-Tourist visa: used for entering India for tourism and related purposes. With this type of visa, you are able to stay in India for up to 30 days from the date of your arrival, single-entry only, and cannot be extended or converted.
  • e-Business visa: used when you have the plan to enter India for business purposes and so on. By using this type of visa, you can stay in India for up to 365 days with many entry times you wish and for each period of stay, you shall not exceed 180 days.
  • E-conference visa: this e-visa type gives you an allowance to enter India for a conference organized by the government, which means when using this type of visa, you are able to stay in India for up to 30 days to participate in an event you wish with 1-time entry.
  • e-Medical visa: used for entering India to get medical treatment. With this type of e-visa, you are able to stay in India for up to 60 days from the date of your first arrival.
  • Ayush visa: The Government of India's Heal in India program has created a new AYUSH (AY) Visa category. It is particularly developed for foreign citizens seeking medical care in India using Ayush or other traditional Indian medical systems. This visa applies to people seeking therapeutic care and well-being through traditional medicine. This Ayush visa is valid for 60 days from the issued date with triple entries

2. Indian visa requirements for Ukrainian citizens

At the moment, all Ukrainian citizens visiting India must apply for an electronic visa before entering the country. To be more specific, the following list is India e-visa requirements for Ukrainian citizens:

  • A Ukrainian passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into India, with at least 1 blank page for visa stamps. You also need to provide 1 scanned copy of your passport biographical page with 1 photograph (clear background and face are required).
  • Travel itinerary: your detailed plan in India will be required for management. Therefore, it is highly recommended that you shall not complete your tour or flight bookings before the e-visa is issued.
  • A valid email address to receive your e-visa result.
  • Additional documents: you will be required to provide some purpose-related documents in order to let the local authorities verify your stay. Take an e-Business visa as an example, if you need to get it, you will need to provide your invitation letter and/or your business card with your personal and organizational information on it.

3. Indian e-Visa fees for Ukrainian citizens:

For the government fee, since Ukraine is not on the exemption list of India, therefore, you need to pay that fee regulated in the Indian authority's announcement.

For the service fee, there are total 3 options for you to choose from depending on how fast you want to get an e-visa:

  • Normal: you will get your e-visa result within 3 business days if you choose this type of service.
  • Urgent: this higher type of service can help you get your e-visa within 24 hours.
  • Super urgent: you will get the highest priority when using this service because your waiting time is just around 5 business hours.
