  • Attestation of affidavits/documents related to real estate or movable properties: €21.00
  • Attestation of civil documents (e.g., affidavits, educational degrees, sponsorship certificates, marriage certificates, wills, Power of Attorney): €12.00
  • Attestation of trade/commercial documents or issuance of certificates like 'country of origin' pertaining to exports from a foreign country to India: €48.00

How long does it take to legalize my documents at the Embassy of India?

The Embassy of India will often legalize your documents on the same day you submit them. However, if the documents were not properly produced, they may be dismissed.

You will also need to validate your papers at Global Affairs Canada before presenting them to the Indian Embassy. If you have properly prepared your documents and submit them in person, they may usually validate them the same day. Sending them in by mail will take at least 15 days, excluding shipping.
