6. Relations between India and Sri Lanka

The Indian High Commission is one of 108 foreign representations in Sri Lanka, 101 in the city of Colombo, and 250 Indian diplomatic and consular missions overseas.
In addition to its High Commission in Colombo, India maintains three additional representations in Sri Lanka. These missions include consulates in Jaffna and Hambantota, as well as a deputy high commission in Kandy.
Sri Lanka has four representatives in India. The representations comprise a high commission in New Delhi, consulates in Bangalore and Mumbai, and a deputy high commission in Chennai.

7. How to apply for an Indian visa from Sri Lanka?

Citizens or residents from Sri Lanka can choose one of 2 options below to apply for a visa to India

• Citizens or residents in Sri Lanka can only directly contact and apply for their India Visa at the India Embassy in Sri Lanka by themselves at the above address.
• Two, apply for an Indian visa online (recommended) for time-saving.  In this way, you will get an Indian visa before traveling to India.  This is the most efficient way to get a visa to India
