How to Use an India e-Visa at an Airport

Traveling with an accepted India e-Visa is simple. You only need your passport and a printed or digital copy of your visa.

When you arrive at the airport, immigration authorities will ask you to provide your travel documentation. The officer will review your documentation, and if everything is in order, you will be allowed access.

Note: The passport you use to enter India must be the same one you used to apply for your e-Visa.

Using your e-Visa at Indira Gandhi International Airport

When arriving at New Delhi Airport, international passengers are sent to immigration, where their documents will be inspected.

Passengers who have already gotten an eVisa for India can go directly to one of 46 approved electronic visa desks.

After passing through immigration, travelers go to customs; those who have nothing to declare should use the green lane.

Traveling to Mumbai Airport with an e-visa

After going through security, tourists are taken to the immigration desks. All travelers are subjected to immigration inspections upon departure and arrival.

Foreign nationals must submit their passport, which will be stamped, as well as an Indian visa (if needed) before being allowed admission.
