Who is eligible for an India business visa?
An India business visa may be granted to a foreigner for the following purposes:
- Foreigners who wish to visit India to set up an industrial/commercial enterprise or explore the possibility of setting up an industrial/commercial enterprise in India.
- Foreigners coming to India to buy/sell industrial or commercial products or consumer durables.
- Foreigners coming to India to participate in technical meetings/discussions and attend board meetings, or conferences to provide business services support.
- Foreigners coming to India to recruit manpower.
- Foreigners coming as business partners and/or as directors of companies.
- Foreigners coming to India to inquire about exhibitions or to participate in exhibitions, trade fairs, business exhibitions, etc.
- Foreign buyers coming to India to transact business with suppliers/potential suppliers across India, assess or monitor quality, provide specifications, place orders, negotiate further supplies, etc., in relation to goods or services procured from India.
- Foreign experts/specialists visiting India for a short period of time in connection with an ongoing project to monitor the progress of work, meet Indian customers and/or provide technical guidance.
- Foreign nationals come to India for pre-sales or post-sales activities without actually executing any contract or project.
- Foreign interns from multinational companies/corporate groups coming to India for in-house training at the regional center of the company concerned.
- AIESEC-sponsored foreign students undertake project-based internships in companies/industries.
- Foreign nationals coming to India as tour guides and travel agents and/or traveling for foreigners on business trips or operations related thereto, etc.
