Do you need a photo for the Indian visa application?
Yes, all forms of Indian visa applications submitted online require a facial image. Face photographs are required for all Indian visas filled out online, regardless of the reason for the travel (business, medical, vacation, or conference). The Government of India mandates that your face photos for an Indian visa online be at least 350 pixels in height and width. This condition is necessary for your application. This translates to roughly 2 inches.
You do not need to print your image for an Indian visa; instead, snap a photo using your mobile phone, PC, tablet, or camera and upload it online. If you are unable to submit it online, you may also email it to us. The term "2x2" refers to two inches of height and two inches of breadth. This is currently an obsolete metric for India Visa applications that are submitted on paper. The criterion does not apply to online applications.
